Kinetic-scale Energy and Momentum Transport eXperiment

NASA Mission 52.007

Principal Investigator:

Dr. Peter Delamere, University of Alaska Fairbanks

Co-Investigators:

Dr. Marc Lessard, UNH
Dr. Kristina Lynch, Dartmouth

Mission Overview

The goal of KiNET-X is to study how kinetic-scale physics affects momentum transport. The 4-stage rocket was launched from Wallops Flight Facility (located on Wallops Island, VA) on May 16th, 2021. The science payload included 2 EBOBs (each EBOB containing a CERPA and FIRPA as a unit), 1 ERPA, and 1 EPLAS.
