UPDATE for February 16th, 2012

Another quiet night! Amazingly, tonight we had crystal clear skies most of the night at most of the optical sites (which include Poker Flat, Venetie, and Fort Yukon). If only the aurora would cooperate! We had some weak arcs part of the night (dubbed the Little Red & Green Arcs of the North by the PI) and they gained brightness and southward movement throughout the night yet never gave us that perfect science opportunity.
